October Artist of the Month “A Life of Science”

It all started in Phoenix, AZ. James Keenan [vocals, bass, synth] and Zakk Geist [guitar, vocals, programming] met at age 10 and started playing music together at age 14, forming a band they called Redshift. After High School, the two went off to different schools.

James met Scott Passamonte [guitar, vocals] while attending Northern Arizona University. When James, Zakk and Scott all found themselves back in Phoenix shortly after, they wrote some songs and auditioned drummer, Angel Garcia [percussion, vocoder] in 2007.

At practice, the group threw the idea around of creating a concept album. As time passed and a concept story began to formulate, they started thinking of ways to expand on the story even further, and eventually decided to produce as much media as they possibly could… a comic book, novel, film… the ideas just kept coming.

A Life of Science has now completed their album and comic book, and the other projects are just around the corner.
